COHS provides expertise in laser safety program development and auditing with in-depth knowledge of CSA standards.
Laser use in the workplace, including the use of medical lasers, is subject to the Part 7 of the BC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, which requires controlling exposure. Compliance with the Regulations can be determined through implementation of an effective laser safety program and controls. As such, a properly implemented program and regular auditing are critical. The referenced ANSI and CSA standards must be considered in developing a program.
